For training your fish rapidly repetition and rewards are a must. Your fish will eventually learn to follow your fingertips in order to obtain food. Once your fishes can understand that they will be fed after following your instructions, it will be easy to train them in other tricks.

You can also use pellets instead of regular fish foods. Your fish will consider pellets as a special treat if you treat your fish with pellets rather than regular fish foods.

At first, manage a hoop so that your fish can swim through. The hoop must be big enough so that your fish can easily go through it. A bracelet or a larger hoop earring can be used as a hoop for small fish. A pipe can be used to create a huge hoop if that’s what you’d like. It is important that you ensure the hoop is clean. If not it can bring substances or harmful bacteria. You can tie the hoop to a sturdy pole if you’re uneasy placing your hand inside the fish. You should begin with a bigger hoop at first.

 

You must stick the hoop near the glass so that it can be easier for you to instruct your fish swimming through it. If you don’t accomplish this, fish may ignore your hoop.

If your fish doesn’t do this, you can hold some food and place it in the water. Feed your fish just when they are comfortable with the technique. The food shouldn’t be released into the water.

 

You must hold your fish’s food just above the tank’s water. If your fish gets its attention, dangle some food above the aquarium’s water. Put food on the water’s surface in the aquarium with your fingertips. When your fish approaches, just pull your hand from the water. This trick will encourage your fish jumping to eat its food.

When your fish jumps out of the water, reward your fish.
